With the Advice from a Reindeer card on the very first read the name of one of my grandsons leaped to my mind. This card will be so meaningful to him. And in truth, l find tis is the case with virtually every one of the “advice” cards in the collection. I also love the humor in the play on words. [Years ago l had my fifth grade class choose a photo each from out-of-date Serra desk calendars and then write advice statements to the world. This was so much fun for them because the kids were inner city kids and I used this activity as prep for our. Week long camping trip…so of course l’ve fallen love with these clever cards!

Lovely to look at but hard to write on
I had trouble writing on the card with my ball point pen. The card stock finish was too slick it seemed. Not sure if others found this to be a problem. The Visual and message card is beautiful.

The are unusual and pretty cards. Each has an animal on the front with verbiage that refers to something that we can learn from that animal. Nothing else like the cards. And, people keep them. They don’t just get thrown away. Love them

Two or three times a year my school hosts students from other countries. I have used the "Advice from..." cards as farewell gifts to our guests as a memory of their time at my school. The cards are whimsical, well designed, and leave a positive impact on our visitors.
