Park Rangers . . Our Hats Off to YOU!

The term “Park Ranger” is meant to be inclusive of the important team of all staff that work to develop, maintain, educate about our public lands. This includes: Interpretive Guides, Trail Guides, Adventure Guides, Law Enforcement and Rescue and Response And while not called rangers we include the work of: Park Administrative Staff, Park Leadership, Maintenance, Volunteers in Parks and Docents

To the dedicated park rangers, staff, and stewards of our national parks, state parks, public lands, and nature centers we sincerely thank you! You are an essential part of a much larger team of land stewards and work tirelessly and often go unrecognized or appreciate. Let it be known here and now . . . you are the guardians and heroes of our wild places, standing watch over forests, windswept deserts, precious landscapes, fragile ecosystems, historic sites and endless skies.

You protect the delicate balance of life where mountains rise and rivers carve their stories into stone. With every trail you maintain, every question you answer, every fire you prevent, and every creature you safeguard, you weave a legacy of care and respect that will echo through generations. You are teachers of wonder, enthusiastic storytellers of the land, and protectors of places where we can breathe deep, look up, and remember what it means to feel small and connected to something greater. Because of you, we find peace in wild beauty, adventure on winding trails, and hope in the whisper of the trees. You are the heart of these places, and we are endlessly grateful.
