Advice from the Night Sky

Step outside, bundle up, and prepare to fall head over heels for cold weather star gazing!

Advice for Life by Your True Nature is a proud supporter of DarkSky International. You are invited on a cosmic adventure like no other. Sure, the temperatures might be chilly, but the twinkling stars above make it all worth it.

First and foremost, be a night sky tourist in your own backyard. To really experience the nighttime world, leave the artificially lit interiors, turn off the patio lights, and set aside digital devices. The night offers something for all the senses if we create the right environment.

As you gaze up at the celestial wonders, let the crisp air invigorate your senses and the beauty of the night sky ignite your imagination. From dazzling constellations to the mesmerizing dance of the Northern Lights, there's magic waiting to be discovered in the depths of winter's sky.

Each season brings different constellations into view. The perfect time of year for stargazing depends entirely on your location. For those in the northern regions, summer is a great opportunity. Fall and spring are the best times for those in the southwest because it’s just too darn hot in the summer. Yet the night sky is filled with wonder in all seasons. The celestial objects visible in the summer are not visible in the winter and vice versa.

Make plans to bundle up, bring a hot drink, and get everyone in your home outside under the stars. You don’t want to miss this show! Share and follow along with the community online via social media channels and website for more Advice from nature and the cosmic frontier. Keep looking up, and let the universe sweep you off your feet! ✨
